Observability: making system problems explainable

Systems engineering themed three-dimensional cover

The system is running normally, not just the processes are still there. Teams need to know whether processing is timely, whether results are complete, and at what stage an exception occurred.

Indicators describe the overall

Statistics of throughput, delay, failure ratio and backlog. Indicators should correspond to actual processes. Observing equipment utilization alone cannot indicate whether business tasks are completed.

Log explanation details

The log records key status and error context, and associates multiple links through task identification. Avoid writing large amounts of sensitive data and irrelevant content into logs, which will affect retrieval and access management.

Alerts drive action

Each alarm should correspond to executable troubleshooting steps. Distinguish persistent anomalies from short-term fluctuations, reduce notifications that have no processing value, and let the team focus on events that really require intervention.
